Role Overview:

We are hiring a General Manager / Head of Department - Accounts to lead and manage the finance and accounting operations of a high-performing export-oriented FMCG company. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in handling accounting for exports, team management, taxation compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations:

- Manage day-to-day accounting (A/P, A/R, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliation)

- Supervise financial statement preparation and accounting of exports

- Oversee sales, purchases, and inventory accounting

Compliance & Controls:

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations

- Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting policies

- Liaise with consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities

Audit & Reporting:

- Coordinate statutory and internal audits

- Present financial reports to management with actionable insights

- Handle forex exposure and cost tracking

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the accounts team

- Conduct performance reviews and foster a high-performing team environment

Cross-functional Coordination:

- Work with logistics and operations to manage export documentation and cost tracking

Candidate Requirements:

- 5-8 years of experience in Accounts/Finance (Export industry experience is a must)

- Strong understanding of Indian taxation, compliance, and accounting systems

- Proficient in accounting software and Excel

- CA/CPA preferred; B.Com/M.Com required

- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Location: Mulund, Mumbai

- Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2nd & 4th Saturdays Off)
