
GM - Head of HR
About the Role:
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary HR leader to head the Human Resources function for a fast-growing, education & skilling vertical. This strategic leadership role comes with full accountability for the human capital agenda - from designing people strategies to driving recruitment, performance management, engagement, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate will be a true HR Business Partner to the leadership team, building a high-performance culture, driving change, and creating an inspiring employee experience in a mission-driven, impact-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Strategic HR Leadership: Shape and execute people strategy aligned with business goals; advise leadership on organization design, workforce planning, and change management.
2) Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end recruitment across levels, develop innovative sourcing strategies, and ensure seamless onboarding.
3) Performance & Capability Development: Drive PMS, goal setting, appraisals, and training needs assessment.
4) Employee Engagement & Culture: Design engagement programs, build feedback channels, and foster collaboration and recognition.
5) Compensation & Operations: Oversee payroll, benefits, HRMS, and HR analytics; ensure market competitiveness.
6) Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies; manage HR risk.
Qualification Required:
1) Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
2) 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in education, skilling, training, or service sectors.
3) Proven track record of independently leading HR for a vertical/business unit.
4) Expertise in strategic HR, TA, performance management, engagement, and HR operations.
5) Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; deep knowledge of employment laws and HR tech tools.
