General Manager - Finance - International Markets

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager Finance (International Markets) to lead financial operations, reporting, compliance, and controllership activities across global entities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing international finance functions, including financial reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, audits, and IFRS reporting across markets such as the UK, Europe, and Australia.

This role requires a strategic finance leader with strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven track record of driving financial governance, process improvements, and operational excellence in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Controllership:

- Lead end-to-end financial reporting for international entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.

- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes across multiple geographies.

- Ensure timely preparation and review of management reports, financial statements, and board reporting packs.

- Drive financial controllership initiatives to strengthen governance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Compliance, Audit & Regulatory Management:

- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory regulations, and corporate accounting policies.

- Manage statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors across international markets.

- Oversee tax compliance activities, including direct and indirect taxes, regulatory filings, and reporting obligations.

- Ensure adherence to internal controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.

International Finance Operations:

- Manage finance operations across UK, European, and Australian entities.

- Partner with regional business leaders to support financial planning, business decision-making, and performance management.

- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to drive profitability and operational improvements.

- Support international expansion initiatives, entity setup, and finance transformation programs.

Process Improvement & Governance:

- Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.

- Strengthen financial controls and ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.

- Lead process optimization projects to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.

- Ensure effective cash flow management, working capital controls, and financial risk mitigation.
