Position : General Manager Finance & Accounts

Reporting To : Managing Director / Executive Leadership Team

About the Role :

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic General Manager Finance & Accounts to lead and strengthen the organization's finance function. The role requires a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial leadership, business partnering, governance, compliance, and operational finance management. The incumbent will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing working capital, and supporting business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term business projections.

- Oversee annual budgeting, periodic forecasts, and variance analysis.

- Establish robust financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.

- Manage end-to-end accounting operations and ensure timely financial reporting.

- Present MIS and financial performance reports to management.

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, GST, TDS, and Income Tax requirements.

- Lead internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors, consultants, bankers, and regulatory authorities.

- Manage treasury operations, cash flow planning, banking relationships, and working capital optimization.

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and business insights.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Mandatory Qualifications :

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Experience :

- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts leadership roles.

- Proven track record of managing end-to-end finance functions in manufacturing or consumer product organizations.

- Strong exposure to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Budgeting & Forecasting, Financial Controllership, Taxation & Compliance, Treasury Management, MIS, Business Finance, Working Capital Management, Audit & Risk Management.

Preferred Industry Background :

- Experience in the Footwear Industry will be highly preferred.

- Experience in owner-driven manufacturing organizations with hands-on exposure to business finance and operational decision-making will be an advantage.
