Description:
- The CFO will oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring strong financial health, regulatory compliance (including Indian and global aerospace standards), and long-term value creation.
- The role requires deep expertise in manufacturing finance, capital-intensive operations, government contracts, export regulations, and aerospace sector dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Partner with CEO and Board to drive long-term business planning and capital allocation.
- Lead financial modelling for new programs, product lines, and international expansion.
- Support M&A activities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning.
- Drive cost control initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Implement KPI dashboards for production efficiency, program margins, and working capital optimization.
- Analyse program profitability, including defence and commercial aerospace contracts.
3. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory bodies such as:
i. Ministry of Corporate Affairs
ii. Securities and Exchange Board of India (if listed)
iii. Directorate General of Civil Aviation
- Ensure adherence to international aerospace regulations (e.g., ITAR, export controls).
- Oversee internal audits, statutory audits, and tax compliance (GST, corporate tax, customs duties).
4. Capital & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
- Structure project financing for capital-intensive aerospace programs.
- Optimize debt-equity mix and manage investor relations (if applicable).
- Oversee forex risk management for global supply chain operations.
5. Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Implement robust cost accounting systems tailored to aerospace production cycles.
- Monitor inventory valuation, tooling investments, and capex planning.
- Drive lean manufacturing financial controls.
- Ensure accurate program costing and contract accounting.
6. Risk Management & Governance
- Develop enterprise risk management (ERM) framework.
- Lead insurance strategy for high-value aerospace assets.
- Strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
- Serve as Company Secretary liaison (if applicable).
7. Team Leadership
- Lead finance, accounts, procurement finance, compliance, and IT finance teams.
- Build high-performance teams with strong succession planning.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, supply chain, and engineering.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 1520+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Minimum 810 years in manufacturing; aerospace/defence experience preferred.
- Experience working with government contracts and global OEMs.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), IFRS.
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
- Proven track record in capital raising and financial restructuring (if required)
