General Manager Finance
About the Role:
The GM Finance is a critical part of the Executive Leadership team. Instead of just the traditional finance functions of stewardship, ensuring compliance with rapidly financial reporting, corporate governance requirements/and or cost reduction initiatives, treasury & audit functions, he/she is expected to be more of a strategic partner to the CEO to help transform the company and help support the company expansions and growth. He/She will work closely with CEO to creatively design future growth opportunities. He/She will be a pivotal part of company leadership, helping make crucial financial decisions and leading the execution of those decisions.
In this role he/she will be responsible to reorganize and build a total professional world-class finance organization as part of the transformation, with strong processes and structure. He/She will be responsible for providing overall strategic oversight and leadership direction across the total finance functions-controllership, treasury management, financial planning & analysis, Taxation, internal audit, compliance & risk management, enterprise risk management, secretarial & legal, shared services, ERP & implementation.
He/She will also be responsible for providing inputs and consolidating all the financial inputs of the companys Strategic Plan (STRAP) to the Product Management team leadership who would be leading the STRAP with further interface with, Sales & Marketing, Operations Engineering, Finance, HR & IT Teams and others.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Budgeting & Forecasting, Strategic Plan (STRAP) financial consolidation Operating Plans, KPIS, dashboards, Variance analysis, MIS, reporting
- Product Profitability, OH analysis, Customer Profitability, Cost to Serve.
- Strategic Pricing Support
- Financial Modeling

8. Develop and deploy and establish procedures, systems, technology, finance management process capability, and talent development for maintaining high standards of controllership, treasury management, financial planning and analysis, taxation & GST, audits and compliance that is closely aligned with business strategies and objectives.
9. Provide direct oversight for the finance management teams along with strong connection to both business entities & human resources.
10. Provide leadership in measuring, assessing and enhancing finance capabilities and performance.
11. Develop a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with company vision, mission and objectives. Develop a culture based on open/honest dialogue, empowerment and involvement with all the team members that demonstrate the value of their input and engagement in improving performance and driving intelligent finance excellence.
12. Build a strong Enterprise Risk management (ERM) for the whole organization. Ensure risk assessments are conducted regularly.
13. Develop direct staff performance goals and objectives aligned with organizational goals. Establish and administer KPIs and KRAs to ensure business objectives are consistently achieved. Ensure that the total finance organization meets or exceeds performance and in each of the specific areas of finance function and overall finance organization.
14. Effective collaboration with all functional heads on all organizational initiatives.
15. Develop a roadmap to prepare for an IPO in the near future.
16. Take initiative to establish long-term sustainable relationships with investors, banks, analysts, credit rating companies and also customers, key personnel within the businesss market and key accounts.
17. Develop a continuous learning organization, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on industry trends, and technology impacts on financial functions which are creating disruption in the area of finance and industry
18. Serve as a credible liaison and represent the organization internally & externally at the executive level. Be seen as a thought leader in various finance forums.
Requirements:
- CA preferably with MBA in finance from reputed institute. Additional Company secretary qualifications will be an added plus.
- Should have a minimum 5-10 years of professional experience preferably in a progressive product based/service organization in a high-level finance position in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. He/She should have strong experience/exposure in various aspects of finance both for National & International markets.
- The candidate must demonstrate a successful record of accomplishing and exceeding goals in his managerial positions while growing and scaling a finance organization of a sizeable business.
- Strong all round experience in controllership, audit, risk management, and treasury functions including fund raising as well ability to develop a road map for enhancing valuation and preparing the company for an IPO in the near future.
- Good understanding of IndAS, IFRS, I GAAP, etc.
- Strong financial acumen.
- Has good understanding of technology and systems in enabling greater efficiencies, agility, and business insights
- Adept in navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment, including setting up new financial processes or fulfilling new reporting requirements and compliances.
- Experience in ERP systems especially implementation.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and work with Senior Level Executives of investor, banks and customer organizations.
- High ethical standards, strong values, integrity. Results orientated.
- Excellent presentation, communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
- High on energy, drive, passion, and commitment with ability to challenge status quo in an enabling style
- Self-driven, with strong process orientation, someone who takes personal accountability for business results
