General Manager - Finance

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager Finance to lead the financial operations of a reputed hospital in Chennai. This senior leadership role demands strategic vision, strong financial acumen, and deep expertise in healthcare finance to support the hospital's operational and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead the entire finance function, including accounting, budgeting, audits, financial planning, and compliance.

- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with the hospitals strategic goals.

- Ensure statutory compliance with tax laws, corporate governance standards, and healthcare regulatory norms.

- Manage the full revenue cycleincluding patient billing, collections, insurance claims, TPA coordination, and receivables.

- Monitor and control operational costs while supporting quality healthcare delivery.

- Prepare timely MIS reports and financial statements; present insights to senior management and the board.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for hospital operations and new ventures.

- Handle banking relationships, treasury functions, fund flow, and working capital management.

- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, expansion initiatives, and new hospital projects.

- Mentor and lead the finance team, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting.

Key Requirements:

- Qualified CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

- 15+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the hospital/healthcare sector.

- Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle management, insurance billing, and healthcare financial systems.

- Proven experience in handling audits, statutory compliance, and healthcare-specific financial regulations.

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- High level of integrity, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability.
