We're hiring for the profile of GM - Family Governance & Compliance for Delhi location

Department: Family Office

Education :Qualified CA and CS

Experience: 20 to 25 years' work experience in Finance & Accounts, Audits in large Corporates or banking sector

1. JOB PURPOSE

To lead and uphold governance, transparency, and strategic oversight of family office operations by serving as the compliance officer in expense management, data consolidation, risk mitigation, and audit coordination. This role ensures adherence to the Family Constitution and Expense Policy, facilitates informed decision-making through accurate data presentation to key councils, and proactively manages financial and operational risks. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Promoter Family Units members, the incumbent drives stewardship and compliances across the family office ecosystem.

2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A. Governance in Family-Family expenses:

- Reviews and audits expenses of all the family members on an ongoing basis with respect to Family fund, Unit level and personal expenses as the Expense policy agreed by the family as per constitution.

- To dedicatedly take care of Family expenses as per Expense policy. Solely responsible for Expense policy, coordinating with Family members, maintaining family expense statements, coordinate with external auditors and implement the ATR items.

B. Data compilation:

- To collect the relevant data, as per the policies adopted by the Family, from Promoters Accounts division, Offices of Promoter Directors, Group Company divisions, etc.

- The data collected to be consolidated and presented to the respective Promoter Family Unit for review and approval. Clarifications sought by the Promoter Family Unit to be furnished by the team.

- Ensure that challenges on classifying the data are taken up with the respective family unit for directions. If the clarification given is not satisfactory, the issue is to be referred to Head for final directions.

C. Presentation to OC and FC:


- Prepare the presentations every year based on the data approved by the Family Units. The consolidated data should be presented to Owners' Council (OC).

- With the approval of OC, the data to be presented to FC for information.

D. Audit:

- Ensure that the expense statements as validated by the promotor directors are audited and scrutinized by External auditors and any observations and gaps are submitted to Head for his review.

- Ensure that the auditors to submit the final report to Head and to Owners Council.

E. Risk Management:

- Identify, measure and mitigate various risks (liquidity, credit etc.)

- Vetting of credit products from the angle of inherent and control risks

- Asset Liability Management

- Advise the company in setting up liquidity risk management framework to ensure sufficient liquidity

Preferred:

- Legal and Regulatory Knowledge in Trust and Corporate Law

- Experience working with trust structures, especially discretionary trusts, including understanding of settlor, trustee, and beneficiary roles.

- Familiarity with shareholder agreements, including rights, obligations, voting structures, and exit clauses.

- Understanding of relevant laws (e.g., Indian Trusts Act, Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations) and how they intersect.
