Job Overview:
We are seeking a digital-first business leader to spearhead our International E-Commerce Vertical. As the General Manager, you will build and scale our brands presence on global marketplaces (Amazon USA/UK/UAE, Noon, Shopee, etc.). You will own the P&L for global online sales, managing the end-to-end cycle from inventory planning in India to the final delivery to a customer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Marketplace Strategy & Expansion
- Platform Launch: Identify and launch the brand on high-potential international platforms (e.g., Amazon Global Selling (US, UK, EU), Walmart.com, Noon (Middle East), Lazada/Shopee (SE Asia)).
- Listing Optimization: Oversee the creation of high-converting product listings, including A+ Content, localized keywords (SEO), and image optimization suitable for international audiences.
- Portfolio Management: Decide the right product mix (SKU rationalization) for specific markets based on shipping weights, margins, and local consumer preferences.
2. Performance Marketing & Growth
- PPC & Ad Spend: Manage significant marketing budgets for Amazon Advertising (AMS), DSP, and other platform-specific performance marketing tools to lower ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales) and drive ROAS.
- Events Strategy: Plan and execute aggressive campaigns for global events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Prime Day, and White Friday.
- Brand Protection: Manage Brand Registry and protect against unauthorized sellers or troubleshoot IP infringements on international portals.
3. Cross-Border Operations & Supply Chain
- Logistics Management: Manage the end-to-end supply chain including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and last-mile integration.
- Inventory Models: Manage hybrid inventory modelsFBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), FBN (Fulfillment by Noon), and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) warehousing abroad to ensure "Prime" badge eligibility.
- Demand Planning: Use algorithmic forecasting to prevent stock-outs in foreign warehouses (considering the long lead times of sea freight).
4. Commercials & P&L Ownership
- Profitability: Own the International E-com P&L. Closely monitor unit economics, accounting for platform referral fees, FBA fees, storage costs, and forex fluctuations.
- Pricing Strategy: Set competitive pricing strategies for different geographies, factoring in purchasing power parity and competitor benchmarking.
Candidate Profile:
1. Education (Mandatory)
- MBA/PGDM from a Top-Tier Institute (Tier-1 Pedigree is a must).
2. Experience
- 10 to 12 years of total experience, with at least 5+ years specializing in Global E-Commerce / Cross-Border Trade.
- Must have deep hands-on experience with Amazon Global Selling (Seller Central). Experience with Walmart, eBay, or regional leaders (Noon, Coupang) is a strong plus.
- Experience in the FMCG / D2C sector is highly preferred.
3. Technical & Functional Skills
- Digital Acumen: Deep understanding of Amazon algorithms (A9), Buy Box dynamics, and keyword ranking strategies.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with IOR (Importer of Record) processes, VAT/GST compliance in US/UK/EU, and FDA/Customs requirements for food/FMCG products.
- Analytical Mindset: Expert at interpreting data from tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, and Brand Analytics.
4. Leadership
- Ability to lead a team of key account managers, performance marketers, and logistics coordinators.
- Agile mindset to adapt to rapid changes in platform policies and international trade laws.
