Position: G.M - EHS
Qualification: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering + Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety / Environmental Management
Experience: 20-25 years in Chemical Industry
Max Age Limit: 48 yrs
Gender: Male
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading EHS team consists of health and safety (Site and Project), Process safety, Industrial Hygiene and Environment and sustainability
- Implement and monitor the EHS management system effectively
- Overall responsibility for EHS compliance as per statutory, ISO and internal standards.
- Ensure legal compliance, timely filing of returns, licenses and liaison with statutory authorities (PCC, Fire, etc.).
- Lead EHS audits (internal, external, regulatory & customer) and ensure effective CAPA implementation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly EHS statistics and reports for management review.
- Drive risk assessment, hazard identification, deviation investigation and change management.
- Oversee process safety management for existing and new products.
- Plan and control EHS budget (CAPEX & OPEX) and monitor cost adherence.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, waste reduction, energy & water conservation initiatives.
- Ensure EHS documentation, reporting and third-party compliance checks.
- Lead people development, EHS training programs and capability building across the site.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards
- Possess strong knowledge of applicable EHS codes, standards, and best practices.
- Risk assessment and problem-solving capability
- Strong Understanding of ISO 9001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, NEBOSH certification preferred.
