
Role Overview:
As the General Manager Engineering, you will spearhead the engineering division, driving innovation and excellence in aerospace design and weapon system integration. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet stringent performance and reliability standards. Your leadership will directly impact the development of advanced aerospace technologies, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of the industry and contribute significantly to our business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee the entire engineering lifecycle, from conceptual design and system architecture to testing and deployment, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements for aerospace projects.
- Drive the development and integration of complex weapon systems, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance within the overall aerospace platform for defense applications.
- Develop and implement strategic engineering plans, aligning with the company's overall business objectives and market demands to maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards for client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, translating them into actionable engineering plans and solutions for successful project delivery.
- Champion the adoption of Agile and Scrum methodologies within the engineering team, promoting iterative development, flexibility, and rapid response to changing project requirements for enhanced efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace standards, regulations, and safety protocols, mitigating risks and maintaining the highest levels of quality and reliability in all engineering activities.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Proven expertise in aerospace design, system architecture, and weapon system integration, with a deep understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Strong proficiency in using engineering tools and software such as MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and analysis of aerospace systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of Avionics Engineering and EW (Electronic Warfare) principles.
- Certified SCRUM Master or Agile certification, demonstrating a commitment to Agile methodologies and iterative development practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Adaptable to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work flexibility.
