Role Overview:
Our client, a leading machinery making engineering conglomerate based in Pune, seeks a General Manager - Costing with strong manufacturing costing experience. The incumbent must be an engineering graduate with ICWAI / ICMAI certification and 18 - 25 years of experience. This role reports to the CFO and manages a large team.
Role and Responsibilities:
The person will be responsible for end-to-end costing activities for the Foundry and Manufacturing Plant, including ownership of product costing, COPA, material cost control, variance analysis, costing system development, and supporting management decision-making through accurate cost information.
- Product Costing and Cost Sheet preparation
- Foundry Costing, Material Costing, and Manufacturing Cost Analysis
- COPA (Profitability Analysis) and SAP Controlling modules
- Material Control, BOM validation, and Inventory Cost Management
- Standard Costing, Variance Analysis, and Cost Optimization initiatives
- Development and strengthening of costing systems and processes
- Plant-level cost monitoring and profitability analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting of manufacturing costs
- Strong analytical and ERP/SAP costing knowledge
- MUST have experience in Zero Based Costing
- MUST have experience in costing involving various metals
- Preference shall be given to candidates having experience in engineering, foundry, casting, pumps, automotive, or other heavy manufacturing industries.
