GM Corporate Strategy

- A $55bn global conglomerate, employing over 140,000 employees belonging to 100 nationalities, having business interests across Cement, Metals, mining, chemical, Fashion, Financial Services, Telecom, Textiles, is hiring for a Corporate Finance Professional for its holding company

Job Purpose :

Assist in :

1) Formulating advice to the Chairman on the strategic matters of Group businesses and

2) Work on identified projects with the Business Heads. These would include evaluating proposals including mergers and acquisition, dealing with data, doing detailed analysis and financial modelling, generating strategic options, detailed planning to achieve the project objectives as a team leader or part of the team

Key Deliverables :

- Strategic Planning ; Appraise proposed projects in a given time so that the investment decision can be taken based on the key recommendations

- Deal Creation/ M&A/Investments ; buyouts, Alliances,

- Group Wide Initiatives ; Benchmarking, Opportunity evaluation

- Business development/ New Sectors ; New Market entry

- Operations Improvement ; Operations / Turnaround / Process excellence strategies; Performance gaps in any business and their root causes

- Assist in developing Business Strategies for vision and strategic action plan for the businesses

- Participate in the M&A activity for a specific assignment

- Assist in new business development activity for Group's entry

- Ideas with untapped growth potential

Skills/Experience :

- BE+MBA from premium B School Only ( Preferably IIM/ISB/SP Jain/XLRI)

- 10 to 12 years experience in Finance & strategy/Consulting Roles only

- Experience of working in multiple businesses

- Experience of Collaborating/Overseeing Multiple Businesses of the Group
