JOB DESCRIPTION

- Develop and execute BD strategies to secure large- scale contracts in Africa and other target geographies.

- Lead tendering processes end- to- end: RFQ/RFP preparation, techno- commercial evaluation, bid submissions, and contract negotiations.

- Build and manage a strong BD pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely closures.

- Establish and nurture long- term client relationships with utilities, EPCs, and government agencies.

- Mentor and expand BD teams across Africa, India, and other regions, setting clear KPIs and accountability frameworks.

- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings, enhancing brand visibility and market intelligence.

- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, finance, project execution) to ensure seamless delivery of contracted projects.

- Identify new technology partners, vendors, and market opportunities to support growth and diversification.

- Provide regular MIS reports and strategic updates to leadership on pipeline health, closures, and revenue impact.

- Travel extensively (6-8 months per year) across Africa and other regions for client engagement, team coordination, and deal closures.

Requirement Details

Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), Commerce, or Renewable Energy.

- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in International Business, Strategy, or Operations strongly preferred.

Experience - 10-15 years in Business Development roles within Solar EPC, Drilling, Hybrid Energy, or large- scale industrial EPC projects.

- Proven track record of multi- million USD contract closures, tendering cycles, and client management across Africa.

Certifications - PMP or Prince2 for project and tender governance.

- Lean Six Sigma/Process Excellence or advanced training in contract management and stakeholder engagement.
