Position : General Manager

Job Location : Tanzania

Key Responsibilities :

Overall Operations & Administration

- Plan, organize, and oversee daily hotel operations across all departments.

- Coordinate with department heads to ensure efficient and smooth functioning.

- Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and service delivery.

Food & Beverage

- Liaise with the F&B department to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Monitor F&B performance, costs, and service quality.

Front Office

- Oversee front office operations including guest check-in and check-out processes.

- Ensure effective guest handling and service standards. Housekeeping & Guest Relations

- Coordinate room planning, allocation, and readiness with Housekeeping and Guest Relations.

- Ensure cleanliness and room availability as per occupancy requirements.

Sales & Marketing

- Work closely with the Sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

- Support promotional and revenue-generating initiatives.

Engineering & Maintenance

- Liaise with the Engineering/Maintenance team to ensure hotel facilities are operational and well-maintained at all times.

Accounts & Finance

- Coordinate with Accounts and Finance for day-to-day financial operations.

Monitor and review:

- Average Daily Room Rate (ADR)

- F&B costs as a percentage of outlet revenue

- Overall cost control against approved budgets

- Prepare and review monthly forecasts and budgets.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs across all departments including F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering.

Desired Profile

- Hotel Management Graduate with 10-15 yrs. experience in managing operations of the boutique hotel

- Should possess proven experience in the expansion and development of hotel facilities, such as gyms, spas, coffee shops, and other guest amenities.

- English Languague spoken & written

- Candidate from F&B Background preferred

- East Africa Experience is MUST
