Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue generation by originating and converting high-value opportunities across Engineering, Construction, Renewable Energy, and Infrastructure segments
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of corporate clients within project risk and industrial sectors
- Own and grow strategic client portfolios while ensuring profitability and long-term business retention
- Identify opportunities for cross-sell/up-sell across Property, Liability, Marine, and Specialty lines
Client Relationship & Risk Advisory:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing customized insurance and risk management solutions for complex projects and operational risks
- Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including clients, insurers, reinsurers, surveyors, and consultants
- Provide strategic guidance on project risk exposures, policy structuring, claims management, and insurance optimization
Insurance Structuring & Technical Solutioning:
- Structure and place complex insurance programs including CAR, EAR, ALOP/DSU, Property, Liability, and Marine policies
- Review EPC/FIDIC contracts and advise clients on contractual insurance requirements and risk transfer mechanisms
- Collaborate with internal specialist teams and insurers to design cost-effective and contract-compliant insurance solutions
Claims Management & Risk Engineering:
- Lead strategic claims management for large-value engineering, construction, and energy losses
- Coordinate with insurers and surveyors for smooth claim assessment, negotiations, and settlements
- Support clients with risk inspections, risk assessments, and implementation of risk mitigation strategies
Market & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Stay updated on market trends, infrastructure developments, renewable energy projects, and emerging risks
- Develop strong relationships with domestic and global insurers for better market terms and placement support
- Represent the organization at client meetings, insurer discussions, and industry forums
Leadership & Ownership:
- Take end-to-end ownership of client engagements, servicing excellence, and business outcomes
- Mentor and support junior team members on technical and commercial aspects of Engineering Insurance
- Work in a high-visibility, front-line role with significant autonomy and accountability
Education:
- Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA preferred)
- Engineering background preferred (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical)
Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience in Engineering / Project Insurance, Corporate Risk Advisory, Underwriting, or Insurance Broking
- Strong exposure to Construction, Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, Industrial Risk, or EPC projects
- Proven experience in client acquisition, portfolio management, and revenue generation
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Construction & Engineering Insurance solutions
- Expertise in CAR/EAR/ALOP/DSU and Project Risk programs
- Strong techno-commercial and negotiation skills
- Experience in claims strategy and complex risk placements
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management abilities
- Strong ownership mindset with execution-driven approach
- Ability to work in high-pressure, outcome-oriented environments
