General Manager/Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager - In-House Business Counsel

Role Overview:

We are seeking a well-rounded in-house counsel to support the business across legal, compliance, and risk management areas. The role requires a balanced mix of litigation oversight, contract management, corporate advisory, and governance, with a strong focus on enabling business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory & Business Partnering:

- Act as a trusted legal advisor to business teams on day-to-day matters

- Provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions and risk assessments

- Support strategic initiatives and new business opportunities

Contracts & Commercial Advisory (Core Area):

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements

- Advise on contractual risk, structuring, and compliance requirements

Litigation & Dispute Management:

- Oversee litigation and disputes (civil, criminal, regulatory) through external counsel

- Support strategy, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution

Compliance & Governance:

- Support statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements

- Assist in implementation of policies, processes, and compliance frameworks

- Monitor legal/regulatory developments and advise stakeholders

Investigations & Risk Management:

- Assist in internal investigations and sensitive matters

- Support risk mitigation initiatives and crisis response

Data Privacy & Regulatory Matters:

- Contribute to data privacy and regulatory compliance initiatives

Preferred Exposure:

- Tendering / bid documentation

- Secretarial and governance matters

- Basic understanding of IPR
