- Leads the general ledger function by directing a team to deliver accurate financial statements and ensure robust internal controls.
Key Duties:
- Oversee GL operations and month end closing
- Implement process improvements and controls
- Coordinate internal/external audits
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP and corporate policies
Tools:
- Oracle/Dynamics 365, Excel, ERP systems, financial reporting tools
- Execute month-end closing activities, including handling FX, depreciation, accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries, and journal entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations for all accounts.
- Maintain schedules for balance sheet accounts, income statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct monthly reviews of the trial balance and perform flux analysis for both the balance sheet and income statement.
- Reconcile fixed assets and conduct physical verifications.
- Consolidate and report month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financials-including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and notes to the accounts-and report non-GAAP financials.
- Manage statutory audits, tax audits, local audits, internal audits, and SOX compliance.
- Prepare reporting and KPI metrics.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support the finance function.
