Essential Responsibilities : Management of a team of people covering the full range of deliverables within the Controllership family. Serves as a functional Subject Matter Expert. The key responsibilities are : - Establish appropriate financial process routines and controls to identify activities that are key to books closing and publishing financial statements - Own and manage Statutory Reporting and compliance with Regulatory requirements - Serve as a business partner by working with various stakeholders, including global and regional Functional Finance teams and operating partners to address risks and resolve issues. - Lead process enhancements in operations accounting areas, including project margin review - Partner with Global Ops teams to drive accuracy and adherence to Enterprise standards and policies and monitor the metrics on compliance, account reconciliations, Turnaround time etc. - As the domain expert drive simplification and program management on system and process enhancements - Implement new Accounting standards and pronouncements applicable to the business and develop appropriate implementation strategy - Ensure integrity of financial systems, general ledgers and sub-ledgers and identifies system enhancements to maximize productivity and reduce operating costs - Develops policies &amp; procedures to ensure proper internal controls while maximizing operational efficiency - Manage Quarterly closings, reporting and other regulatory filings - Act as liaison to internal and external auditors and resolve audit issues and ensure successful and timely completion of required audits. Role Summary/Purpose : - The Senior Controller for Transportation APAC region is the custodian of Controllership framework and would lead the functional team in developing and implementing consistent finance Policies and Procedures. - Responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting.&nbsp; - Seasoned, senior level managerial role requiring good understanding of industry and function. Qualifications/Requirements : - Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Professional Accountant - At least 10 years- post-qualification experience - Strong controllership acumen and technical accounting expertise - Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organization structure Desired Characteristics : - Well versed in all accounting principles and internal control framework to be able to design compliant processes and drive necessary changes - Adaptable/flexible : open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances and/or ability to work in ambiguous situations - Strong oral and written communication skills.
