Summary
As the GBS RTR Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of General Ledger Accountants within the Global Business Services (GBS) center. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple legal entities in compliance with both local statutory and Group requirements. The role focuses on operational excellence in the RTR function, driving process standardization, SAP system adoption, team performance, and seamless onboarding of new entities into the SSC.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified CA
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in GL/RTR roles, including 3+ years in a people management capacity.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS; understanding of tax and audit frameworks.
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA; prior ERP implementation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in a shared service center or multinational environment is essential.
Key resposibilites:
Team Leadership & Performance:
- Lead and mentor the GL Accounting team, ensuring workload balance, goal setting, KPI tracking, and timely performance reviews.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, statutory compliance, and audit queries while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
GL Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee accurate and timely month/quarter/year-end closings, journal reviews, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and internal control frameworks.
RTR Process Excellence:
- Own the end-to-end RTR process, including intercompany, fixed assets, and equity reconciliations.
- Drive standardization, implement best practices, and monitor adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and SLAs across GBS entities.
SAP S/4HANA & Systems Enablement:
- Serve as RTR functional lead for SAP configuration, deployment, and process mapping.
- Collaborate on UAT, data migration, and user training to ensure seamless system adoption.
Entity Onboarding:
- Lead onboarding of new entities into GBS, ensuring accurate migration of GL balances, fixed assets, and master data in alignment with Group policies and processes.
Stakeholder Management & Governance:
- Act as primary liaison for auditors, tax advisors, and local finance teams.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and timely closure of audit actions.
Controls & Compliance:
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard RTR integrity.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal audit, and regulatory requirements while proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
