Gameskraft - Senior Manager - Indirect Tax

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Manager Indirect Tax to lead and manage the indirect tax functions across the company. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with strong experience in VAT/GST, sales tax, customs duties, and other indirect tax-related matters. The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring tax compliance, managing tax audits, providing strategic tax advice, and optimizing the company's indirect tax position in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Indirect Tax Compliance:

- Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (e.g., VAT, GST, Sales Tax, etc.) for various jurisdictions.

- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all indirect tax reporting and filing requirements.

- Review and manage indirect tax documentation, ensuring that all necessary records and information are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.

Advisory and Planning:

- Provide strategic advice on indirect tax matters across the organization, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, procurement, etc.) to manage the impact of indirect tax on business operations.

- Develop and implement indirect tax strategies to optimize tax efficiency across business transactions, ensuring compliance while minimizing tax liabilities.

Tax Audits and Disputes:

- Manage and support indirect tax audits, assessments, and disputes, liaising with tax authorities as required.

- Prepare responses to inquiries from tax authorities and resolve any issues or disputes in a timely and efficient manner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and supply chain, to ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations in all areas of the business.

- Provide training and guidance to other teams within the organization on indirect tax-related issues.

Tax Technology and Process Improvement:

- Lead the implementation and optimization of tax technology tools to improve indirect tax reporting and compliance processes.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiencies within the indirect tax function.

Global Indirect Tax Strategy:

- Support the global indirect tax strategy in alignment with the companys international expansion and business growth.

- Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the companys operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, CTA, or equivalent) is a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in indirect tax, with a strong understanding of VAT/GST, sales tax, customs duties, and other indirect tax matters.

- Previous experience in a senior tax position, with exposure to multinational and/or large organizations.

- In-depth knowledge of local and international tax regulations and compliance procedures.
