Position Overview:
Gallantt Ispat Limited is seeking an accomplished Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the organization's people strategy and drive business transformation through effective human capital management. Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Board and senior leadership team, the CHRO will be responsible for developing and executing a forward-looking HR strategy that aligns with the company's ambitious growth plans. This executive leadership role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in large-scale manufacturing environments, capable of building a high-performance culture, strengthening leadership capability, and ensuring organizational excellence across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide Human Resources strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Lead strategic Talent Acquisition initiatives to attract and retain high-caliber leadership, technical, and operational talent across manufacturing and corporate functions.
- Drive Organization Development initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, optimize structures, and foster a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Oversee the end-to-end Performance Management framework, ensuring alignment between individual, functional, and organizational goals through data-driven performance systems.
- Lead enterprise-wide Change Management programs during business transformation, expansion, and organizational restructuring, ensuring smooth adoption across plant and corporate locations.
- Design and strengthen Compensation, Benefits, and Rewards frameworks that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business performance.
- Build and institutionalize Leadership Development and Succession Planning programs to create a strong internal leadership pipeline for critical roles.
- Direct Learning & Development initiatives focused on technical capability building, leadership development, and future-ready workforce competencies.
- Champion Talent Management practices, including succession planning, career development, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance on Industrial Relations, employee relations, labor law compliance, and workforce governance while maintaining harmonious employee-employer relationships.
- Partner with business leaders to leverage HR analytics and workforce insights for informed decision-making and organizational effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 21-25 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in large-scale manufacturing, steel, metals, power, cement, or other heavy industries.
- Proven success in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Extensive experience managing large, geographically dispersed workforces across manufacturing plants and corporate offices.
- Strong expertise in Talent Acquisition, Organization Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Change Management.
- Deep understanding of Industrial Relations, Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and manufacturing workforce dynamics.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with Board members, promoters, and senior leadership teams.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into impactful people initiatives.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, resilience, and the ability to lead through change in a complex business environment.
- A postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or an MBA from a reputed institution.
