Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the overall Kolkata branch.

- Develop new business opportunities and grow existing client accounts.

- Achieve sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

- Manage P&L for the branch.

- Lead and guide teams handling Air and Ocean freight.

- Ensure smooth execution of shipments including pricing, booking, documentation, and co ordination.

- Coordinate with internal and external teams to deliver competitive solutions.

- Drive business development activities to expand the customer base and revenue.

- Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing.

- Provide timely updates to management on branch performance and KPIs.

- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a positive work environment.

- Liaise with airlines, shipping lines, and other service providers.

- Maintain strong co-ordination with customs brokers for clearance activities.

- Build strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.


- Identify market trends and generate strategic sales plans.

Requirements

- 5+ years of relevant experience in freight forwarding industry.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Good understanding of both Air and Ocean freight processes.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer handling skills.

- Proficiency in documentation, shipment tracking, and industry software.

- Ability to drive targets and ensure operational efficiency.
