Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead financial strategy, capital structure, IPO readiness, funding operations, compliance, and governance. The role is responsible for managing complete financial planning, budgeting, investor/banker relationships, debt/equity funding, and strengthening internal controls. The CFO will play a key role in IPO preparation, documentation, valuation, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Build and execute long-term financial strategy aligned with company vision.
- Drive financial planning, capital allocation, profitability, and growth initiatives.
- Lead finance transformation, automation, and system upgrades (ERP/CRM).
2. IPO Planning & Execution
- Lead complete IPO readiness, including:
- Due diligence
- DRHP/RHP preparation
- Working with merchant bankers, auditors, RTA & legal teams
- Corporate restructuring & compliance
- Valuation and equity structure
- Oversee SEBI, Stock Exchange, and ROC compliance related to listing.
- Build investor presentations, projections, and financial disclosures.
- Support Board/Promoters during investor meetings and roadshows.
3. Funding & Capital Management
- Manage end-to-end funding operations including:
- Bank loans
- Project finance
- Working capital limits
- NBFC funding
- Structured finance
- Negotiate interest rates, covenants, and credit terms with banks/NBFCs.
- Ensure smooth process for customer funding (home loans) in real estate projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, lenders, and investors.
- Oversee fund flow, treasury, liquidity planning, and risk management.
4. Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS
- Lead annual budgeting, financial modelling, and business forecasting.
- Present monthly/quarterly MIS to the Board with insights and variance analysis.
- Maintain accurate reporting: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements.
5. Accounting, Taxation & Compliance
- Oversee accounting, taxation (GST/Income Tax), auditing, and statutory compliance.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and SOP frameworks.
- Ensure timely regulatory filings and adherence to Companies Act standards.
6. Business Strategy & Decision Support
- Support senior leadership in evaluating new projects, investments, and expansion.
- Conduct ROI analysis, pricing strategy, cost optimization, and feasibility studies.
- Manage cross-functional collaboration with Sales, CRM, Legal, Projects & HR.
7. Team Management
- Lead the Finance, Accounts, Funding, Taxation, and MIS teams.
- Build strong financial governance, performance culture, and capability development.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in IPO process, funding, and capital markets.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, project finance & banking operations.
- Thorough understanding of taxation, accounting standards, and compliance.
- Leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in ERP, CRM & Financial modelling tools.
Qualifications
- CA / CPA / CFA / MBA Finance (CA strongly preferred).
- 15 to 20+ years of financial leadership experience.
- Experience in IPO-led organizations or companies preparing for listing (preferred).
- Experience in bank funding, NBFC funding & project finance is mandatory.
