The Role

I. Tear into financials to understand the true earnings, cash flows, and working capital position of a business.

II. Investigate revenue quality, margins, customer concentration, and the assumptions underpinning management's numbers.

III. Connect financial performance with commercial realities: what is driving growth, what could derail it, and what the numbers aren't telling you.

IV. Work on live transactions, engage with founders and senior stakeholders, and contribute to decisions involving real capital.

V. Build the judgement to distinguish a good-looking business from a genuinely good investment.

We prefer candidates who:

1. Ask "why" five times before accepting "what."

2. Take ownership without waiting for instructions.

3. Can turn a messy Excel file into a clear investment insight.

4. Enjoy ambiguity, thrive on steep learning curves, and have the grit to get things done.

5. Want to understand how businesses are built, valued, funded, acquired, and scaled.

A CA, CFA or MBA with an interest in investments and financial analysis would be a good fit. However, intellectual curiosity, ownership, and the willingness to do the hard yards matter more than the degree itself.
