Role Overview:
- We are seeking a high-performing Senior Manager / AVP - Consulting to drive corporate insurance business growth across multiple lines-Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Cyber, and Employee Benefits (EB).
- The role combines strategic sales leadership, solution consulting, and relationship management with insurers, TPAs, and underwriters to deliver optimal coverage, competitive pricing, and superior service for corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients (SMEs to large enterprises) and build a strong, qualified pipeline with a strategic approach.
- Drive business development across General Insurance lines: Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Cyber, and Employee Benefits.
- Develop and implement market-penetration strategies while nurturing newly acquired accounts.
- Engage clients on product features, pricing structures, and profitability impact; run structured, consultative conversations.
- Lead front-end interactions for inquiries, RFQs, and mandates to ensure timely conversion and high win rates.
Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships and retention.
- Liaise with insurers, TPAs, and underwriters to secure optimal coverage terms, competitive quotes, and smooth service delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify coverage gaps, and recommend mitigation strategies aligned to client risk profiles and budgets.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform client strategy and drive business growth.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to close large accounts and consistently exceed sales targets.
- Leverage strong broking know-how and domain expertise across general insurance lines to craft winning solutions and propositions.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or professional insurance certifications preferred.
- 10-15 years in corporate insurance sales or broking with a track record of target achievement.
- Deep understanding of broking dynamics, underwriting partnerships, and multi-line general insurance solutions.
- Excellent client communication, solution consulting, and negotiation skills.
- Strong ownership, pipeline discipline, and reporting rigor.
Special Requirements / Good to Have:
- Experience in multi-city business development and enterprise account management.
- Exposure to EB program design, wellness add-ons, and claims analytics.
- Working knowledge of proposal building, RFP/RFQ response management, and onboarding documentation.
Workplace & Travel:
Base location in Delhi / Hyderabad / Bangalore / Chennai / Mumbai with client/insurer travel as required.
