Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated investment professional to join our Fundamental Equities (Private Markets) team. The individual will be responsible for conducting deep fundamental research and investment analysis on private companies across technology-focused sectors, including Software, FinTech, Consumer Technology, and Manufacturing Technology. The role involves evaluating investment opportunities, performing financial analysis, supporting due diligence efforts, and generating actionable insights for investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on private companies across Software, Technology, FinTech, Consumer Tech, and Manufacturing Tech sectors.

- Analyze business models, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, and growth opportunities.

- Build and maintain complex financial models, valuation frameworks, and investment theses.

- Perform company and sector-level due diligence, including market sizing, competitive benchmarking, and management assessment.

- Evaluate investment opportunities and support transaction execution processes.

- Monitor portfolio companies and track key operating and financial performance metrics.

- Prepare investment memos, research reports, presentations, and recommendations for internal stakeholders.

- Collaborate with investment teams, portfolio managers, and senior leadership on investment decisions.

- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments within the private markets ecosystem.

- Participate in management meetings, expert calls, industry conferences, and other research activities.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA/CFA preferred.

- 3 - 15 years of relevant experience in: Private Equity/Venture Capital, Growth Equity, Technology-focused Investment Research, Investment Banking (Technology/TMT), Private Markets Research

- Strong understanding of private market investing and fundamental equity research.

- Experience covering one or more of the following sectors: Enterprise Software / SaaS, Technology, FinTech, Consumer Technology, Manufacturing Technology

- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.

- Experience conducting commercial and financial due diligence.

- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear investment recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience evaluating private market investment opportunities globally.

- Exposure to venture capital, growth-stage investing, or technology-focused private equity investments.

- CFA, CA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification.

- Familiarity with databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar research platforms.
