Fund Manager - SME

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the investment strategy for SMEs and listed/unlisted companies.

- Perform deep fundamental research, including business analysis, sector mapping, financial modelling, and detailed valuations.

- Create and manage a high-performing portfolio with a frugal and disciplined approach.

- Conduct ongoing performance monitoring and risk analysis of investments.

- Stay updated with macroeconomic indicators, market cycles, and emerging opportunities.

- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, analysts, and consultants.

- Build and lead a high-performance team of analysts and associates.

- Develop investment theses with strong conviction based on long-term fundamentals.

- Represent the firm in investor meetings, industry forums, and regulatory engagements.

Candidate Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in fund management, preferably in AIFs, Mutual Funds, or PMS.

- Strong track record of managing funds of 500 Cr+, preferably in micro to mid-cap space.

- Demonstrated understanding of business cycles, value investing, and fundamentals.

- Experience in investing in non-startup segments i.e., stable growth SMEs, and scalable listed/unlisted entities.

- Entrepreneurial drive with a frugal, owner-operator mindset.

- Proven leadership ability to build, lead, and mentor teams.

- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations, fund structures, governance, and compliance.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Preferred Background:

- CFA / CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.

- Exposure to building or turning around fund portfolios.

- Experience in greenfield fund setups will be a plus.
