Job Title: Fund Manager - Small & Midcap

Location: Mumbai

Role Overview:

We are looking to hire an experienced Fund Manager to lead and manage a Small & Midcap focused investment strategy. The role involves end-to-end ownership of portfolio construction, stock selection, and performance delivery, with a strong emphasis on alpha generation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently manage and drive performance of a Small & Midcap equity portfolio

- Identify high-growth investment opportunities through deep fundamental research

- Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling, and industry research

- Build high-conviction positions with a long-term investment perspective

- Actively monitor portfolio companies and track performance vs benchmarks

- Take buy/sell decisions based on market trends, company performance, and macro factors

- Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts

- Ensure risk management and portfolio diversification aligned with investment strategy

- Mentor and guide junior analysts within the team

Candidate Profile:

- 8-15 years of experience in equity research / portfolio management

- Strong track record in managing or contributing to Small & Midcap portfolios

- Prior experience in Buy-side roles (PMS / AIF / Mutual Funds preferred)

- Deep understanding of Indian equity markets, especially Small & Midcap segment

- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills

- High conviction, independent thinking, and strong decision-making ability

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Background:

- Currently working with PMS, AIF, Mutual Funds, or reputed Investment Firms

- Experience covering multiple sectors within Small & Midcap space

- CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred
