Job Title: Fund Accountant Private Equity

Contract - 6months-1 year

Location - Mumbai

We are looking for a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our private equity team. The role involves managing the full cycle of fund accounting operations, including calculation of NAV, partner capital allocations, investor reporting, and financial statement preparation. The ideal candidate will ensure timely month-end and quarter-end closings and maintain accurate fund records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Key responsibilities also include handling capital calls and distributions, preparing investor capital account statements, and coordinating with auditors and third-party administrators. A solid understanding of private equity structures and regulatory compliance is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Accounting & NAV Oversight:

- Prepare, review, and finalize daily/monthly Net Asset Valuations (NAVs).

- Ensure accuracy of fund transactions including capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.

- Handle complex fund structures including multi-share classes, feeder funds, and master-feeder setups.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

- Prepare financial statements as per IFRS/US GAAP/IND AS.

- Liaise with auditors and internal stakeholders for year-end audits.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SEBI, AIF, FATCA, CRS).

Client Relationship Management:

- Act as the primary contact for clients, custodians, and other service providers.

- Address ad hoc requests, investor queries, and reporting requirements.

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with fund managers and administrators.

Team & Process Management:

- Supervise and mentor junior staff; conduct training sessions.

- Lead process improvement initiatives and automation efforts.

- Ensure delivery of SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
