Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Functional Lead:
- Lead the implementation of the Finance workstream for Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP including analysis, design, build, test, train, cutover, operations, and support.
- Alignment with business stakeholders and implementation partners to customize D365 functionalities to meet specific business needs, including configuration of entities, forms, workflows, and business processes.
2. Technical Understanding:
- Provide functional expertise in building interfaces, integration, API libraries, data migration, and system architecture within the technology landscape. Stay updated on the latest features and updates in the D365 F & O platform, evaluating their potential impact and applicability to the organization.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Effective collaboration across diverse teams is a cornerstone of successful functional lead of any ERP module. This role is expected to seamlessly collaborate with engineering, supply chain, retail, finance, marketing and other stakeholders. This collaborative approach is essential to ensure a cohesive and successful implementation. The candidate should excel in facilitating communication between these cross-functional teams, fostering an environment where everyone is aligned with the overarching business goals.
4. Budget Oversight:
- The candidate plays a pivotal role in financial management, necessitating the development and meticulous management of project budgets. This involves tracking expenditures with precision to ensure cost-effectiveness. Additionally, the candidate should be adept at providing accurate financial forecasts and detailed reports to senior management, contributing to transparent and informed decision-making.
5. Requirements Definition:
- Working closely with implementation partners/vendors to ensure clear articulation of requirements, features, and functionalities is fundamental to the success of this role. The candidate is expected to ensure project is on track by closely working with partner/vendor team.
6. Risk Management:
- Identifying and managing project risks is a critical aspect of the role. The candidate should be adept at identifying potential risks, developing effective mitigation strategies, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Regular assessment and reporting on project risks, along with proactive solutions to minimize their impact, contribute to the overall success of the project.
7. Quality Assurance:
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions is a critical responsibility. The functional lead is tasked with implementing and enforcing robust quality assurance processes. This involves conducting regular project reviews to ensure strict compliance with established quality standards, guaranteeing that the end deliverable aligns with the envisioned quality benchmarks.
8. Resource Management:
- Optimal resource utilization is crucial to project success. The candidate is expected to manage and allocate resources efficiently, including both internal team members and external vendors.
