Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Workday US Payroll Functional Consultant with strong expertise in end-to-end payroll implementations, payroll configuration, testing, and post-production support.
The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in Workday US Payroll modules, payroll parallel testing, payroll data conversion, and stakeholder management.
The candidate will be responsible for leading payroll workstreams, conducting discovery/design workshops, configuring payroll solutions, supporting testing cycles, and ensuring successful payroll delivery for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in End-to-End Workday US Payroll implementations and support engagements.
- Conduct payroll discovery sessions, design workshops, DA reviews, and requirement gathering sessions with clients.
- Configure payroll components including:
Earnings
Deductions
Pay Accumulations
Payroll Calculation Groups (PCGs)
Payment Election Rules
Banking Setup
Account Posting Rules
Payroll Taxes
- Perform payroll unit testing, simulation testing, E2E testing, and payroll parallel testing.
- Manage payroll data conversion and payroll history loads using EIBs/iLoads.
- Support payroll processing activities including off-cycle payrolls and payroll reconciliation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Recruiting, and Integrations teams.
- Handle Workday release management and payroll upgrade activities.
- Troubleshoot payroll production issues and provide timely resolution for support tickets.
- Prepare functional documentation, test scripts, design documents, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Coordinate with client stakeholders and offshore/onshore teams for project delivery.
- Provide user training and payroll process walkthroughs to client teams.
Required Skills:
- 4 - 15 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Workday US Payroll.

- Hands-on experience in large-scale payroll implementations.
- Experience in handling payroll for multi-state or large employee populations is preferred.
- Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in hybrid working environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Workday US Payroll Certification.
- Experience in Workday HCM modules:

Educational Qualification:
