Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Functional Consultant to spearhead the design, configuration, and deployment of robust data governance frameworks. In this role, you will act as the primary bridge between complex business requirements and technical SAP solutions, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, IT leadership, and global business process owners. Your work will directly influence the integrity and reliability of enterprise data, ensuring that our clients maintain a "single source of truth" that drives operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and informed decision-making across the entire organizational landscape. This is a high-impact position that demands both deep technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments to deliver scalable, long-term data strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and configure end-to-end SAP MDG solutions for Finance, Material, Customer, and Vendor domains to ensure seamless data consistency across the enterprise.

- Lead requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to translate complex data governance needs into functional specifications and technical blueprints.

- Manage the full lifecycle of SAP implementations, including data modeling, UI configuration, workflow design, and BRF+ rule development, to optimize business process automation.

- Drive data migration and consolidation strategies by collaborating with technical teams to ensure high-quality data integration from legacy systems into the SAP MDG environment.

- Provide expert-level functional guidance to project teams and end-users, ensuring that the implemented governance models align with global best practices and organizational objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in SAP implementations and setting up of architecture around Master Data Management across different systems, with at least 3+ years of experience with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance).

- Strong functional knowledge of SAP MDG technology on premise or the cloud version.

- Strong process knowledge across different masters most important being Business Partners of Customers, Vendors, Material Masters, Bank Account Masters etc.

- Clear understanding of SAP best practices around MDM done in various systems including SAP and Non-SAP systems like in other cloud providers (GCP and Azure).

- Experience in leading complex SAP implementation projects, with proven experience in design, configuration, and implementation.

- Configuration experience of MDG set up for Financials, Business Partner, Customer, Supplier, Material, Consolidation etc.

- Workflow, Process, Data and UI Modelling experience with setting up workflows and reporting around the same.

- Must have experience in making recommendations to customers on improvement of Data Quality and Integrations.

- Must have working knowledge of MDG including Error management / Error resolutions / Important one being Replication errors across different systems.

- Integrations: Rich experience on handling integrations functionally and working with Technical associates on handling issues / incidents with existing interfaces / dealing with multi systems like CRM7 / C4C, S4HANA / ECC6, HCM/SF etc.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Very good documentation skill responsible for writing / reviewing Solutions doc, HLDs, Specifications etc.
