Role Overview:

As a Functional Consultant specializing in Record-to-Report (R2R), you will serve as the bridge between complex financial business requirements and robust technical solutions. You will lead end-to-end implementation cycles, collaborating closely with global stakeholders, finance controllers, and technical development teams to streamline financial closing processes, general ledger management, and statutory reporting. Your work directly influences the efficiency of financial operations, ensuring that organizations maintain accurate, audit-ready data while leveraging ERP capabilities to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and configure R2R business processes within the ERP ecosystem to align with global accounting standards and local statutory requirements, ensuring seamless financial operations.

- Lead workshops with business process owners to translate complex financial pain points into scalable functional designs, reducing manual intervention in closing cycles.

- Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, gap analysis, solution architecture, and user acceptance testing, to ensure high-quality delivery for diverse client portfolios.

- Partner with technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues between financial modules and peripheral systems, maintaining data integrity and system performance.

- Provide expert-level functional guidance to internal teams and clients during post-implementation support, fostering long-term system adoption and process optimization.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep expertise in R2R processes, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting, and Tax configuration, with a proven ability to map these to ERP functionalities.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data and translate them into functional specifications that drive business value.

- Possess exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical finance leaders and influence decision-making across global teams.

- Maintain a professional degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, complemented by relevant ERP certifications that validate your functional proficiency.

- Thrive in a distributed work environment, demonstrating the self-discipline and communication clarity required to collaborate effectively across multiple locations and time zones.
