Role Overview:
We are looking for a Functional Business Analyst Consultant with strong domain expertise in payments and banking, specifically in FIS OPF and SEPA Instant Payments.
The role focuses on requirement elicitation, functional solutioning, and stakeholder alignment to support implementation of real-time payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and document detailed BRDs/FRDs
- Conduct functional workshops to understand business processes, pain points, and target state solutions
- Define end-to-end business process flows, use cases, and functional specifications
- Translate business requirements into clear functional designs for technology teams
- Ensure alignment with payment schemes, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
- Drive and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenarios, business validation, and sign-offs
- Act as a functional SME for payments, supporting stakeholders across project lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate solution delivery and business alignment
Mandatory Skills (Non-Negotiable):
- Strong hands-on experience with FIS ecosystem
- Proven expertise in OPF (Open Payment Framework)
- Deep understanding of SEPA Instant Payments (SCT Inst)
- Strong experience in functional requirement gathering and documentation
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Good to Have:
- Prior consulting experience in banking or fintech domain
- Exposure to real-time payment systems and transaction flows
- Knowledge of payment regulations, compliance, and industry standards
- Experience working in Agile environments
