Senior Manager, Last-Mile Operations

As the Senior Manager, Last-Mile Operations, you will be the driving force behind our delivery network in Angul.

Your primary mission is to ensure that our B2B customers receive their fuel on time, every time, in a highly efficient and safe manner.

Leveraging your military logistics experience, you will be responsible for a full spectrum of operational duties, from strategic planning to on-the-ground execution and talking to the senior leadership team within and outside the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement robust last-mile delivery strategies to improve efficiency, speed, and service quality in challenging geographical areas.

- Operational Excellence: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring strict compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and maintaining a consistently high on-time delivery performance.

- Fleet and Route Management: Optimize route planning, fleet utilization, and driver scheduling to maximize productivity and minimize costs, using advanced logistics tools.

- Client Coordination: Act as a key point of contact for clients at their sites, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and building strong, trust-based relationships.

- Performance Monitoring: Do data analytics. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery time, cost per drop, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.

- Process and Technology Implementation: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement technology-driven solutions to solve complex operational challenges.

- Vendor Management: Manage and evaluate third-party logistics (3PL) partners, holding them accountable to contracts and performance standards.

- Safety and Compliance: Enforce rigorous safety regulations and company policies, ensuring all operations are conducted with the highest standards of safety and security.

Candidate Requirements:

- Immediate joiners preferred, having relevant experience and skills.

- Background: A professional from a defense or armed forces background with significant experience in logistics and supply chain management.

- Experience: 5+ years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, or program management, with a proven track record of operating in difficult or remote terrains within India.

- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in route optimization tools, data analytics, and vendor management.

- Leadership: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage a team and handle high-pressure situations with composure and strategic thinking. Ability to deal with senior leadership teams within and outside the organization and influence leaders across functions to ensure smooth operations.
