Role Overview :
As the Design Head, you will lead the creative and technical direction of large-scale commercial interior projects, serving as the primary bridge between client requirements and execution excellence. You will oversee the entire design lifecycle, from conceptualization and space planning to final implementation, ensuring that every project aligns with the brand identity and functional needs of the client. Working closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders, you will drive design innovation while maintaining strict oversight on quality, timelines, and project budgets to ensure high-impact business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the end-to-end design process for commercial workplace projects, ensuring all deliverables meet international quality standards and client expectations.
- Manage complex vendor relationships and procurement processes to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and specialized interior components.
- Oversee the development of detailed technical drawings and documentation using Revit to ensure precision in construction and site execution.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to resolve design-related challenges, ensuring the final build remains true to the original design intent.
- Mentor and guide a team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity and technical rigor to elevate the firm's design output.
- Engage directly with key stakeholders to present design concepts, gather feedback, and refine strategies that align with the client's long-term workplace goals.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial and workplace design, with a deep understanding of space planning, ergonomics, and modern office trends.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard design software, with the ability to manage complex BIM workflows.
- Proven track record in vendor management, including negotiating contracts, overseeing quality control, and ensuring cost-effective procurement.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design visions to clients and internal teams effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in managing site-level constraints and coordinating between multiple technical disciplines.
- A degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a reputed institution, complemented by 10-15 years of professional experience in the commercial design sector.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site environment in Bangalore, maintaining high standards of professional conduct and project delivery.
