Fraud Technical Specialist - SQL & Data Analysis for MNC BPO, Bangalore.

We are currently looking for candidates with strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in SQL and data analysis, particularly in fraud detection and anomaly identification.

As part of the Fraud team, the candidate will play a key role in delivering the Technical Fraud strategy, ensuring the business is protected through intelligent, data-driven fraud controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Fraud Technical Lead to design and optimize fraud detection rules using insights derived from large-scale data analysis.

- Investigate emerging fraud trends by analyzing data across multiple systems, identifying patterns and recommending actionable countermeasures.

- Respond to business-critical questions by developing advanced SQL queries and customized reports, delivering clear and meaningful insights to stakeholders.

- Support system quality assurance through user acceptance testing (UAT) of fraud platform upgrades and enhancements, ensuring functional accuracy and defect-free delivery.

- Work closely with internal support teams and external vendors to resolve system incidents, applying sound judgement to prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.

Key Skills & Experience

- 2 - 5 years of Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex queries using joins, subqueries, CTEs, and aggregate functions in Fraud Operations.

- Experience working with large datasets in enterprise data warehouse environments (e.g., Oracle, Google Cloud Platform).

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.

- Experience designing and testing fraud detection logic based on behavioral and transactional data.

- Proficiency with tools such as Power BI, Looker, and data visualization platforms.

- Highly numerate, with prior experience in data analysis or fraud analytics preferred.

- Previous fraud experience is an advantage but not mandatory; strong technical and analytical capability is essential.

- Demonstrates resilience and adaptability when managing competing priorities.
