Specific responsibilities include:  - Assuming independent coverage one or more sectors/ industries.  - Performing equity research and analysis, and make stock recommendations to Portfolio Managers.  - Gain extensive understanding of investment philosophy, valuation methodologies, and fundamental knowledge of sectors and companies therein.  The job will involve:  - To support entire gamut of fundamental company research under the guidance of a senior analyst.  - This includes supporting in Portfolio Construction and Rebalancing, Stock Picking and Sector Selection and in analyzing peer portfolios and tracking their style and strategy.  - Compiling data from multiple sources to develop detailed financial models.  - Conducting thorough financial statement analysis, visits with company management and discussions with other industry contacts that help establish and support investment recommendations.   - Presenting investment recommendations supported by a comprehensive and thoughtful research process.   Ideal candidates will have:  - MBA or equivalent advanced education from Tier I Institute, and a strong undergraduate degree. CFA designation desirable.  - Candidates should have 2 - 4 years of on the job experience as equity analysts (Sector agnostic) - typically 2 to 4 years post MBA experience.  - Strong knowledge of economics and financial markets.  - Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate analysis and recommendations.  - Strong analytical capabilities and problem solving skills with previous experience building detailed financial models.  - Ability to work in a team oriented environment  - Commitment to a permanent relocation to Chennai.
