Fractal Analytics - Senior Consultant - Data Governance

Responsibilities :

- Assist in the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures for the NZ Bank.

- Collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to define data quality rules and monitor data quality metrics.

- Support the creation and maintenance of a data contract, catalogue, business glossary, and data lineage documentation.

- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

- Support the rollout and adoption of data governance tools and technologies.

- Gather and consolidate user feedback to identify common issues and areas for improvement.

- Document common issues and their resolutions for future reference.

- Collaborate with developers (if applicable) on more significant enhancements or bug fixes.

- Monitor the performance and stability of the file management tool.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or information management.

- Solid understanding of data governance principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Experience with data cataloguing, business glossary development, and data lineage documentation.

- Experience with data quality tools and techniques.

- Experience with data modelling and database design.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Experience in React.js (ability to read and understand React components) is a plus.

- Experience with Abinitio is a plus.

- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.

- Experience in integrating data governance tools across divisional and enterprise levels.

- Hands-on knowledge of AWS Glue Catalog, Data Quality (DQ), and AWS SageMaker (Good-to-have).
