Hiring Role : Investment Analyst - Founders Avenue (India)

Key Responsibilities:

Founder Sourcing & Evaluation:

- Actively identify promising early-stage startups across India through direct outreach, digital research, referrals, and partnerships.

- Utilize online startup platforms, industry reports, newsletters, communities, and social channels to uncover strong early-stage startups beyond events.

- Proactively monitor accelerator demo days, pitch competitions, and startup showcases to identify emerging ventures.

- Track founder journeys and identify repeat entrepreneurs or high-potential operators who may transition into founders.

- Maintain a structured pipeline of founders and startups with clear status updates and next steps.

- Conduct founder interviews, perform initial due diligence, and review applications to evaluate key founder attributes such as resilience, vision, and execution capability

- Build and sustain long-term relationships with universities, accelerators, incubators, startup hubs, and tech communities.

Investment & Portfolio Support:

- Assist in hosting virtual showcase events and Talk to Promoter calls for startups

- Assist in preparing the Detailed Investment Note (DIN) and FAQs for startups post-showcase

- Assist with Investment Committee (IC) materials and coordinate processes leading up to IC meetings.

- Contribute to due diligence, transaction documentation, and follow-on investment processes.

- Build and maintain financial and scenario models for both portfolio companies and overall fund performance.

Requirements:

- 2-3 years of professional experience in startups, venture capital, consulting, investment banking, or other highly analytical environments.

- Strong financial modeling, research, and problem-solving skills.

- Well-connected within the Indian startup ecosystem, with the ability to source and evaluate early-stage startups.

- Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with a strong curiosity and drive to uncover exceptional founders.

- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Based in India, role is remote with occasional travel to Mumbai for meetings and events.
