Role Overview:
The Forex Dealer will be responsible for managing the bank's foreign exchange trading activities, including execution of client and proprietary trades, managing FX positions, ensuring adherence to regulatory and risk management guidelines, and supporting corporate/retail clients in their forex requirements. The role demands strong market knowledge, analytical ability, and swift decision-making to optimize profitability while minimizing risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute spot, forward, and swap deals in the interbank and client market.
- Quote competitive FX rates to corporate, retail, and institutional clients and facilitate smooth execution.
- Manage open currency positions, monitor market movements, and ensure adherence to risk/stop-loss limits.
- Provide market intelligence, updates, and hedging strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Treasury Sales, and Corporate Banking teams to support client requirements.
- Track global FX markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical events impacting currencies.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, FEMA, and internal treasury policies.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on FX positions, P&L, and market outlook.
- Contribute to the bank's treasury profitability through active market participation and client servicing.
