We are hiring Forensics Accountant with 10 to 15 years of experience and hands-on in Balance Sheet or Financial statement analysis.
Requirements:
- We are looking for a deeply experienced, independent financial analyst, equity research analyst who functions as a financial detective, fraud and misrepresentation detection.
- Responsibility is to identify the exact problem when a balance sheet does not match the narrative.
- Deep proficiency in reading consolidated financial statements - P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and footnotes.
- Prior exposure to forensic accounting, equity research (sell-side or independent), or investigative financial journalism is a strong positive.
- This person operates entirely independently, the analyst self-directs the majority of work Proactively hunting for opportunities - with occasional directed assignments from the principal investor.
- The role demands forensic rigor, sector-level judgment, and the intellectual honesty to flag problems precisely and reject mediocre opportunities outright.
- Determining whether the balance sheet is fundamentally sound or structurally compromised
- The analyst looks for value mispricings, structural growth catalysts, and sector-level shifts - all three lenses are valid, and the best ideas often combine them.
- Ability to detect red flags: receivables growing faster than revenue, inventory build-up despite flat sales, capitalised expenses masking operating losses, deferred revenue manipulation
- Experience with cash flow quality analysis - understanding the gap between reported profits and actual free cash flow.
- Familiarity with auditor qualifications, related-party transaction disclosures, and contingent liabilities
- Ability to systematically compare concall transcripts and investor presentations against historical reported numbers.
- Connects dots across companies and sectors - identifies thematic plays that span multiple opportunities.
- Broad-based research that goes beyond single-stock analysis into sector or macro themes.
