Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Meet All Key Bowler Metrices for IMG
- Lead IMG Planning and Implementation of Material Flow and Packaging Engineering strategies to deliver product programs per <PA> investments
- Drive standardization of new model study forecasting and benchmarking on space, flow & investment efficiency through engaging with program led complexity reduction efforts.
- Work with purchasing and program teams to validate the new or c/o supplier sequencing assumptions, material flow designs, develop new packaging solutions and strategies to achieve the optimum material cost. Develop Industrial Engineering Expertise for TVM
- Support MSAP/PD/ME led program studies - F&T , F&D, warehousing, sequencing, and bailment Strategies as part of MFPE E2E Material Flow (Supplier Till Point of Fit)
- Support freight CPU reduction driven on account of packaging engineering & intra-plant logistics (material flow), contribute enterprise-wide savings such as material cost reductions (MCR) by finalizing ILVS/ sequencing strategies & MFG LOH reduction (thru MH automations)/
- Lead IMG Benchmarking / Process Improvements via Gartner/Consultants engaging CFT in MP&L to deliver transformational changes
- Grow the MFPE center of excellence (CoE) at global scale.
- Work globally and cross-functionally on aligning the MFPE business processes to support the TVM actions to optimize inventory (cash) and freight (cost).
- Ensure IMG Plants achieving favorable monthly SNURK/MCRP results. Work with IC and plant teams to track and close MP&L related plant GAO and OIC audit comments.
- Lead IMG / CoE Inventory - Production /IM / PIA / BIA / Support bailment business case studies and participate in the BGB reviews. Achieve Forecasted Inventory Turns
- Lead IMG Program Management actions at launch phase through working with New model launch, PD, purchasing, STA, Manufacturing and suppliers.
- Lead new model program planning submissions to support key milestone gateways for MP&L related F&T and F&D investments. Drive LQOS Gateway & lead launch review, publish launch reports developing containment actions where necessary.
- Lead IMG SMRT for all upstream supplier launch readiness , supplier resourcing , supplier delivery performance improvements & MMOG
- Lead IMG MP&L's Innovation & Transformation Counsil driving E2E Digitization & Automation Initiatives
- Lead monthly plant operating governance reviews & LMM to ensure plant scorecards are on-track to deliver the intended results.
- Validate Plant MP&L teams DOS QPIP in line with corporate FPS timing - to ensure standardization and continuous improvement.
- Work closely and support plant on all SAFETY KPI's and initiatives
- Develop & Drive Sustainability initiatives and meet global guidelines as applicable
- Improve Teams Future Skilling through Training and Competency / Versatility Improvements
Experience & Background Skills Required:
- Engineering or other technical degree preferred. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in supply chain, inventory and logistics domains.
- Operational plant experience within a Manufacturing Facility
- Prior experience in MF&PE , logistics / SCM / launch
- In-depth understanding of New Model Study Process, Tools and Templates
- In-Depth understanding of synchronous material flow (SMF) and Global Work Streams
- In-Depth understanding of Global Material Flow & Packaging Standards
- Financial acumen - Investment, F&T, Variable, Space, CPU
- Ability to effectively build relationships and teamwork both globally and cross-functionally.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
- Management of a large workforce with diverse responsibilities across multiple countries
Other Considerations:
- Willing to travel locally and internationally as required.
- Flexible to work with different time-zone.
- Comfortable with handling multi-level of communications and interfaces
- Ability to effectively communicate with Global Manufacturing Engineering, Supply chain, STA, and Product Development Leads.

What You Will Be Accountable For:
Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the following:
- MP&L in-plant logistics operations - material flow engineering and packaging engineering
- Supplier manufacturing readiness using material management on-line guidelines/logistics evaluation (MMOG/LE) to boost supplier delivery performance
- Inventory planning systems and processes, aligning with global automotive business and supply chain strategy.
- Lead and inspire a large, geographically dispersed team (100+ professionals), fostering a high performance, collaborative culture.
- MP&L Product launch delivery and sustenance across the manufacturing sites in IMG region.
- Lead the MP&L innovation drive to optimize freight and inventory by building stronger partnerships across logistics and IT service providers to roll-out automation and AI/ML models.
