
HR Operations Manager (Workday Hire to Retire)

Overview Of The Role:
The HR Operations Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering high-quality HR operational services from the Hyderabad Shared Services Centre.
This role ensures smooth execution of HR transactions, first-line employee and manager support, HRIS management, and contingent workforce processes.
Acting as a bridge between employees, managers, and leadership, contributes to continuous improvement, compliance, and service excellence.
This role will manage individual contributors, resolve operational challenges, and present insights, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Projects & Change:
- Lead and support HR projects (business change programs, system enhancements, process redesign, contingent worker solutions).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (People Tech, Procurement, Finance, Business HR) to deliver global initiatives.
Stakeholder Management & Presentations:
- Build strong relationships with managers and business stakeholders across functions.
- Prepare and deliver clear presentations, reports, and updates for senior leadership, ensuring data-driven insights.
- Deputize for Core Services leadership in meetings when required.
Service Delivery & Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of HR operations, including transactions, case management, and HRIS data integrity.
- Act as point of escalation for complex HR queries, ensuring issues are resolved with accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics and KPIs; ensure SLA/OLA compliance and continuous service improvements.
- Drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives across the function.
- Ensure all HR operations comply with employment legislation, company policies, and data protection standards.
- Mitigate risks by embedding controls and ensuring audit readiness.
Leadership & People Management:
- Contribute to the definition of standards, procedures, and best practices for the team.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE:
Essential:
- 8-10 years experience in HR Operations, People Services, or HR management in a complex/matrix multigeography organization.
- Strong knowledge of the life cycle of an employee (hire to retire) HR policies, processes, and employment law.
- Proven experience managing HRIS systems and driving HR process improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team, manage performance, and resolve escalations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with experience preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
- Analytical problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Exposure to contingent workforce management programs.
- HR professional qualification (CIPD or equivalent).
- Experience leveraging automation/technology for HR service delivery.
