Business Development Manager
Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities in the US market through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels.
- Mentor and guide junior team members while actively contributing to the development and expansion of the Business Development (BD) team.
- Develop and execute a structured sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive pipeline growth.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from initial contact to closure and post-sales handover.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target accounts.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to continuously learn, share insights, and align on business development strategies.
- Preparation of pitches in coordination with the Marketing team.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field
- 2 TO 4 years of proven experience in business development or sales roles within the IT/software/technology sector.
- Strong track record of working with international clients, particularly in the US market, with independently managed sales pipelines valued >$250K (annually).
Hands-on experience with:
- Cold calling and lead identification using tools such as Apollo, Lusha, RocketReach, Clearbit, etc., for sourcing accurate contact details of potential leads
- Proficient in LinkedIn Sales Navigator/Reddit for targeted lead generation, market insights, and identifying potential engagement opportunities
- Strong practical understanding of CRM systems for managing pipelines, tracking sales activities, maintaining databases, and generating performance reports; familiarity with Zoho CRM is a significant advantage, as it is our primary platform.
- Solid understanding of the software sales cycle, solution selling, and consultative sales approaches.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
