What You'll Do
Operations Leadership
- Own end-to-end operational performance across US-based interior fit-out and design-build projects.
- Drive alignment with revenue targets, schedule adherence, quality benchmarks, and client satisfaction KPIs.
- Build scalable operational frameworks to support multi-market and multi-project growth across US cities.
Project Delivery & Execution
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of interior fit-out projects.
- Conduct weekly execution reviews to identify and resolve roadblocks.
- Track progress against milestones and client expectations.
P&L & Financial Management
- Manage city-level P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization.
- Drive margin improvement through subcontractor negotiations, value engineering, and operational efficiencies.
- Forecast project cash flows and monitor working capital cycles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with sales, design, procurement, HR, and finance to align workflows.
- Align staffing plans, subcontractor onboarding, and procurement timelines with project schedules.
- Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks quickly to maintain delivery momentum.
- Operational Excellence & Process Innovation
- Implement lean, tech-enabled operations processes.
- Reduce TAT through SOPs, automation, and performance analytics.
- Leverage platforms like Salesforce for visibility and accountability.
Team Development & Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations and project management team.
- Define KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive training and upskilling initiatives.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary escalation point for key clients, architects, general contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
- Conduct regular reviews with clients, architects, and contractors.
- Ensure a high-quality client experience from project kickoff through close-out and handover.
Risk, Quality & Compliance:
- Implement QA/QC checks, ensure compliance with US building codes, safety standards, and local requirements.
- Implement QA/QC processes across design, construction, and close-out phases.
- Ensure contracts, documentation, and reporting are accurate.
- Proactively identify project risks and drive mitigation strategies related to schedule, cost, safety, and quality.
Billing, Payments & Documentation
- Monitor billing accuracy and ensure timely realization of payments.
- Maintain documentation for client handovers, audits, and MIS.
- Minimize revenue leakage through strong cost tracking, contract compliance, and billing controls.
You Bring
- 10-15 years of experience in interior fit-outs, project management, or operations in design & build/real estate.
- Proven success managing multi-crore projects with direct P&L ownership.
- Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of supply chain, vendor management, and quality control.
- Deep understanding of US subcontracting models, procurement, cost controls, and quality management.
- Excellent communication, client management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Tier-1 institute alumni (IIT/IIM) preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of finance and P&L is an advantage.
