FlipSpaces - Vice President - Business Development
Role Overview:As a leader, you will be responsible for building and scaling Flipspaces' offline demand engine, driving high-quality, high-intent leads that convert into profitable project wins. This role focuses on institutional partnerships, enterprise outreach, channel ecosystems, and market-led growth, working closely with Sales, Design, and Operations to ensure lead quality, feasibility, and conversion discipline.
This is a leadership role, along with individual contribution with ownership of strategy, execution, and performance of offline growth initiatives.
Job Location: Mumbai (Malad, West) What You'll Do:
Offline Growth Strategy & Market Expansion
- Design and execute a scalable offline growth strategy aligned with Flipspaces' revenue and margin objectives.
- Identify high-potential enterprise segments (corporates, GCCs, developers, landlords, brokers, PE-backed firms, etc.).
- Drive city-wise and account-led growth plans with clear pipeline and conversion metrics.
- Continuously refine go-to-market strategies based on deal economics and execution feedback.
Lead Generation & Channel Development - Build and scale non-digital lead sources such as strategic alliances, real estate brokers, consultants, developers, PMCs, and institutional partners.
- Establish structured programs for referral partnerships, industry networks, and ecosystem tie-ups.
- Ensure lead qualification frameworks that prioritize deal quality over volume.
- Own accountability for lead-to-opportunity conversion ratios.
Team Leadership & Performance Management - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing offline growth team across key markets.
- Define clear roles, targets, and success metrics for growth managers and partnership teams.
- Drive a performance culture focused on pipeline health, conversion quality, and predictability.
- Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to ensure seamless handover and accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Sales, Design, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align growth initiatives with delivery capabilities.
- Ensure market commitments are realistic, executable, and margin-accretive.
- Act as the bridge between market opportunity and execution feasibility.
- Feed structured market intelligence back into pricing, positioning, and offering strategy. Governance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Establish strong MIS, dashboards, and review mechanisms for offline growth performance.
- Track funnel metrics including lead source effectiveness, win rates, deal size, and cycle time.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance speed and efficiency.
- Maintain governance around partnerships, contracts, and compliance.
You Bring- Tier-1 education pedigree (IIT, IIM, ISB, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong commercial acumen, leadership presence, and storytelling skills.
- 15+ years of experience in offline growth, enterprise partnerships, BD, or institutional sales.
- Proven leadership experience in commercial interiors, real estate services, construction, design-build, or allied B2B sectors.
- Track record of building partnership-led or account-led growth engines.
- Experience working with complex, long-cycle, project-based sales.
- Strong understanding of deal economics, margins, and execution risk.
