ROLE SUMMARY:

- We are looking for a highly experienced Senior VP - Operations to own and scale national operations for commercial interior fit-out project execution across India, with potential exposure to international markets.

- This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building execution capability, driving operational excellence, improving profitability, strengthening delivery governance, and enabling scalable growth across regions. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operations leader with deep experience in commercial interiors, real estate, construction, design & build, or turnkey project execution.


- They should have a strong track record of leading large teams, managing complex project portfolios, building vendor ecosystems, and delivering high-value projects with quality, speed, and commercial discipline.

KEY RESPONIBILITIES:

National Operations Leadership:

- Own and lead operations strategy for commercial interior project execution across regions.

- Drive delivery performance across multiple business units, geographies, and project portfolios.

- Build scalable operating systems, governance structures, and execution processes to support rapid growth.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality and client satisfaction standards.

- Partner with the executive leadership team to align operations with business growth, profitability, and expansion

plans.

Project Governance & Delivery Excellence:

- Establish strong project governance mechanisms across planning, execution, reporting, quality control, safety, and commercial closure.

- Review and monitor key project metrics including timelines, cost variance, gross margins, vendor performance, site productivity, and client escalations.

- Lead strategic interventions for critical or high-value projects.

- Drive consistency in execution standards across all regions and project types.

- Improve turnaround times, predictability, cost efficiency, and quality outcomes. Leadership, Org

Building & Talent Development:

- Lead senior operations leaders, regional heads, project directors, project managers, and site execution teams.

- Build a high-performance operations organization with clear roles, accountability, and performance metrics.

- Mentor and develop future leaders within the operations function.

- Drive manpower planning, capability building, training, and succession planning.

- Create a culture of ownership, speed, quality, and execution discipline.

Vendor Ecosystem & Commercial Control:

- Build and scale a strong national vendor, contractor, consultant, and service partner network.

- Drive strategic vendor partnerships, capacity planning, rate benchmarking, and performance management.

- Improve procurement-execution coordination to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.

- Strengthen commercial controls around budgeting, billing, change orders, cost overruns, and project closure.

- Ensure contractor and vendor accountability through structured review mechanisms.

Client, Business & Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a senior escalation point for key clients during project execution.

- Partner with sales, design, client servicing, procurement, finance, and leadership teams to ensure seamless customer delivery.

- Strengthen client confidence through predictable execution and proactive communication.

- Support business development and strategic accounts through operational credibility.

- Drive improvements in client satisfaction, repeat business, and referral potential.

Process, Technology & Operational Transformation:

- Champion process automation and technology-led project management systems.

- Implement dashboards, MIS, SOPs, quality frameworks, and performance tracking systems.

- Identify operational bottlenecks and lead transformation initiatives to improve scale and efficiency.

- Drive continuous improvement across planning, site execution, vendor coordination, reporting, and handover processes.

- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, quality, contractual, and company standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 13-16 years of experience in operations, project execution, or delivery leadership, preferably in commercial interior fit-outs, design & build, construction, or real estate.

- Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-location project execution portfolios.

- Strong background in turnkey execution for offices, coworking spaces, retail, hospitality, institutional, or enterprise clients.

- Experience managing senior project leaders, regional teams, contractors, vendors, MEP consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Strong commercial acumen with understanding of project costing, budgeting, margins, billing, and cost control.

- Deep knowledge of site execution, MEP coordination, vendor development, quality control, project planning, and delivery governance.

- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.

- Ability to build scalable systems and lead teams in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.

- Prior experience in a national or multi-region operations leadership role preferred.
