Work Location: Malad West (Mumbai)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting and Taxation Specialist with advanced knowledge in US GAAP, Federal & State Taxation, and Financial Reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations, preparing complex tax returns, and ensuring full compliance with IRS regulations and client-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and file US Federal and State tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).

- Maintain books of accounts using QuickBooks or Xero.

- Perform bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable.

- Handle sales tax, payroll tax, and estimated tax filings.

- Prepare and review monthly financial statements.

- Communicate with US clients via email and calls.

- Ensure IRS compliance and handle notices/audits as needed.

Requirements:

- Degree in Accounting or Finance.

- 3+ years of experience in US accounting and taxation.

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and tax laws.

- Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, and Drake Tax or similar software.

- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
